Lectio Divina, or divine reading, is the practice of meditation that allows us to hear God’s present, active voice through Scripture. When we meditate on the Word of God, as it says in Joshua 1:8, our way is made prosperous and we will have success. As we meditate on the word of God, our hearts are knit together with truth and we become more intimately connected to the author of those words. The secular world and other religions have created a counterfeit for the practice of meditation, whereas God designed meditation for His people. In this teaching, Timothy reclaims this practice for the Kingdom of God as he teaches, prepares and guides listeners through the practice of Lectio Divina.
